Dinner last night was amazing, so I wanted to share it with you. I wanted to make turkey burgers but was out of bread crumbs… so I improvised and it turned out great!

Honey Mustard Turkey Burgers

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 15-20 honey wheat pretzel twists
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • salt

Break up the pretzel twists as small as you can until you get about a cup of pieces.  Toss them in the blender or food processor and blend them down into bread crumbs.  Mix pretzels, turkey, honey, mustard, and egg together in a medium bowl.  Divide meat into four equal patties and flatten to about 3/4 inch thickness.  Place on a greased baking sheet and salt the patties lightly.  Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, flipping the burgers halfway through.

You guys, these were SO good, and good for you!  5 Weight Watchers points per (huge) burger.  I had mine on a sandwich thin with sweet potato fries, making the whole meal 7 points.  It was so good, so filling.  Please let me know if you try it!
